Hosted signup
What it takes to run
There is no software install, but custom-domain sending requires DNS authentication and the free plan keeps one Kit-managed recommendation slot.
Where your data lives
Subscribers, tags, forms, broadcasts, sequences, purchases, and analytics live in Kit's cloud; subscriber and chart data export as CSV.
Why fork Kit Free instead of vibe-coding a SendFox clone?
The visible creator email marketing loop is buildable, but a credible replacement needs more than the first screen. SendFox earns its keep through deliverability, reputation, network, so expect a weekend or multi-day build and a narrower personal scope.
