Trade-offs, installation & data architecture
What you trade away

Where your data lives
An Anki collection and media on the Android device, with .apkg import/export and optional AnkiWeb sync
Why fork AnkiDroid instead of vibe-coding a Busuu Premium clone?
A consolation build is possible, but the paid product's decisive value sits outside a solo rebuild. For Busuu Premium, build a personal language practice system with user-authored lessons and review.
